Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Homey ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Homey mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Photos you choose to upload when using the Organize Vision feature
- Preferences you set within the app (room types, style preferences, budget)
Information collected automatically:
- App usage data (tasks completed, features used) stored locally on your device
- In-app purchase status (managed by Apple)
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Organize Vision AI feature — photos you upload are sent to Anthropic (Claude AI) and OpenAI (DALL-E 3) for analysis and image generation
- To improve app functionality and user experience
- To process in-app purchases (handled by Apple)
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — analyzes your photos to generate organization plans. Photos are transmitted securely and are not stored by us. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API.
- OpenAI (DALL-E 3) — generates "after" images based on your space. Image prompts are transmitted securely. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API.
- RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
- Apple App Store — all in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple.
4. Data Storage
Most of your data (tasks, preferences, progress) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Photos uploaded for Organize Vision are transmitted to third-party AI services and are not retained by us.
5. Children's Privacy
Homey is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
6. Your Choices
- You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data from your device
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- You can revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. All data transmitted to third-party AI services uses HTTPS encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
